I wonder if anyone can help me..I have installed the game in Dosbox and click on Maupiti.bat to start but after a nice picture of a sailing boat comes up on screen thats it..freeze frame..nothing happens. Would love to play this game but don't know how to get past this..thanks.. Sal

Don't run install, delete your folder if you runned install, the game is cracked.

Unzip the archive, mount your virtual C, cd to your game folder and your inputs are:

maupiti

Dosbox 0.72, default install, nothing altered.
Runs fine.

M for mouse control.

Just tested: you even can drag drop maupiti.bat on a freshly installed dosbox 0.72-shortcut.
Works fine.

Dos Raider...Sorry to be such a drongo(thats aussie slang for real idiot)but I still can't get the game to work.
1.I have DoxBox 0.72 installed on my computer and use it all the time for old games and rarely have a problem.
2. I installed maupiti Island into my game folder as usual
3. The download info says the game will only work if started from Maupiti.Bat
4.I did this but get the picture of the boat and freeze frame..
5. when I press the space bar on the keyboard to get out of this a message comes up...

C:\DOSBox| NEWFOL-2\maupiti\MAUPITI\START.COM The NTVDM has encountered an illegal instruction CS;011a1P;038fop;8c 90 92 92 choose close to terminate application.

Cool. Looks kind of like a Deja Vu style first person game. I'll have to give it a try sometimes.
