Somebody should do that with him....

If you dont send us 1.000.000 $ we will eat him by tomorrow*
Now you got it wrong. People should donate not to save him, but to get him eaten. I believe this way you'll get more money. LOL LOL LOL

I wouldn't excactly call it blackmail, but I see what you mean. But what if some guy said "pay me 50.000 USD, or I'm gonna eat five Big Macs"? That's pretty much the same, if you ask me, and there's no way I'd ever give that guy anything.

As I said, I really don't understand the people who're paying the guy with the bunny. If you want to help animals* there are much better ways to spend your money, IMO.
yes and no....yes people eat big-macs and rabbits in the world. On the other hand, this guy goes out of his way to build sentiment to this rabbit. You compaire eatting five big-macs to eatting a rabbit, well ok. But thats not what this guy is doing. This guy gave his rabbit a name, as well as a short biography. Now what if I told you I had given bessy the cow mouth to mouth resesitation and saved her after she was hit by a falling fridge while grazing in a pasture. Now I'm asking for so much money or i'm gonna seel her to McDonald's so they can make her into bigmacs?
He mentions he saved it from a cat, or after a cat attack? why not let nature take its course and let the rabbit die there?...no instead he decided to keep this rabbit alive so he could feed off its life in a sick and cruel manner...We have had discussions on God in this forum, and this opens up a "can of worms" cause this guy is basically playing God here, for money.

I really think you're reading too much into this. I really don't care how or when the bunny dies, it's not my pet and I didn't name him. If anybody is going to feel bad about this, it's that guy. And if he doesn't, well good for him. As far as I can see, people around here have two problems with this:

1) The guy named the bunny and kept it as a pet.

2) He's asking for money to not eat the bunny.

As for number one, I've already said my piece. If the guy doesn't have a problem with it, he should go right ahead. However, I do believe that if he actually loves the bunny, as he claims, he will have some problems eating it. I saw a chef on Danish tv nurturing and naming a duck, that he later butchered and ate (and he cried a little about it, too). He did that mostly to show people that when you eat meat, you eat a living creature, and if you have a problem doing that you shouldn't eat meat at all.

As for number two; well, I think it's pretty funny, that anybody would actually donate anything, but maybe he got most of the money from merchandising, as someobdy suggested. Anyway, I really don't feel bad about people throwing their money away on crap like this, and as I already explained, I wouldn't feel bad at all about taking it, if I had come up with this idea first.

Finally I would like to point to the possibility that the guy never ate the bunny. Who knows? He might've grown too attached to it, and simply decided to not do it after all.

:bleh: good points, maybe he doesn't have a bunny, and maybe he didn't kill it, in either case he's a liar.

Then again, people complain that there is no kindness in the world like there used to. Well, it's no suprise that people aren't kind anymore, when at every corner you have to fear that your kindness will be taken advantage of, and you're going to be scammed.
