Death Rally (3Drealms)
I remember I used to play this game as a kid. It was a racing game for DOS I think, can't remember, 2D of course. The cool feature with this game was that you had a machine gun mounted on top of your car. You could use this to outgun your opponents, and mow down any spectacors who happened to be in the way, in which they splatted in a big pool of blood. You started out with a Wolkswagen-thing and ended up with a supercar-thing, with pickups and porches in between.
By winning races you earned cash (duh) which could be used to repair your car, buy cars, hire sabotage of fellow racer's cars, and other bonuses for your car. But what I loved about this game;  YOU COULD BE DUKE NUKEM So... Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or am I shooting blanks? Please help me locate this childhood treasure... |

the game you are looking for is called "death rally" not "death race"

Is it sold or not? The publisher still sells it, but the developer put it freeware on their site. Shouldn't the old warez list classify it as freeware?

The site you linked shows a link to the shareware version of the game.
The full version of this game is not shareware and no freeware either. |
