I can't get in because it's to highly barricaded. Ho should I spend my last AP?
Sorry, I thought you knew you couldn't get into heavily barricaded buildings without free running . I should've warned you when I told you how strong the barricade had become. I shouldn't have strengthened the d*** thing so much, it's just that I thought that 7 zeds would have a fairly easy time reaching us...

I got 102XP, but I think I bought the wrong one. The closest one to it I could find was basic Firearms training. Only 2XP now, and I'm on level 3.

Basic Firearms is good too. Firearms are more powerful than melee weapons. The thing is, you'll have to search our PD for ammo. Once you gain another level, you should chose between Pistol Training or Shotgun Training. The shotgun is the most powerful weapon in the game (10 damages per hit). It's a bit rare though and you can only find one shotgun shell at a time so getting supplies can be a problem.

i don't agree with it at all.
Well, when I look at our roster, I can't help but think that we aren't very numerous. In fact, it looks like we already have a few deserters . Therefore, I was hoping that we'd all move together, leaving Yagoton behind for good. Even a level 1 should be able to gain XP during the trip. Moving now could solidify our group and help avoid desertions.

Frankly, I don't think sub-groups are going to happen. We're not going to be able to secure anything without members spending APs on construction, fighting, reviving and healing. Look at these four tasks, entering an area where ~400 zombies are having a holiday with diminished firepower doesn't sound good to me :P .

With that being said, you have a point when you say that a few of us could still be interested in training their character before doing anything else. I may have a nifty cap on those sheepish ears but I can still hear . Both you and Doubler would like to stay in Yagoton. Therefore, I'd like to know, how long do you think you'll need to reach a comfortably high level? I don't mind waiting a little longer, we could all use the time to get more supplies (shotgun shells, first aid kits, syringes). Still, I firmly believe that we HAVE to move. Keep in mind that, the longer we wait, the higher the chances that we all get bored with the game before anything happens.

well, when i said we should re-group, i didn't say that with the meaning of "let's all wait so everyone grow up skills". it's just that if we regroup in yagoton, we can easily give tasks to each other, and walking in bigger groups gives us bigger protection (and bigger firepower ).

and for me, i'm already with a big level player ( 6 ), and i've grown that because i started on a district far, far away from yagoton. i've spent the last 2 weeks trying to reach our HD and now i'm only two districts away, i guess... and after this journey, i would like to spend some AP's trying to replenish ammo and stuff (you see, this journey has taken me all the ammo), calmly, to begin our next mission.

you see, it's a bit unfair for the one's like me who had to run along 7 or more districts already to try to reach yagoton, and are now without ammo or with little HP, that you that are there already (and so with the time to gain ammo and levels and so on) start a new mission with us with ammo problems or HP problems. understand what i'm trying to explain? k:

i think we should all re-group on yagoton, then refill our team with ammo and med kits, and THEN attack... maybe when we see on the HD who are the members we can rely, we can see if there's enough of us to send first a recon team (who could esaily tell us what are the buildings we can occupy, or the number of zombies) or if it wasn't the case, try to scracth the better route to our objective.

Hah, I see. I was under the impression that we'd all reached Yagoton already. Well, getting supplies shouldn't require more than 100 APs (unless you're going for a huge mountain of shotgun shells). Should we follow my plan, we'd be leaving in about 5 days. I believe that's a bit less than 240 APs. Therefore, I kind of fail to see where the problem is... If one of our member is still far from our current HQ and/or doesn't have the equipment he needs in the next 240 APs, we'll see if we can help him by delaying the trip a bit. Does that sound fair?

I don't see why we should delay the trip. I was under the assumption that our HQ is only a "central regroup point" where we all aim to when we have nothing better to do... If a member is away and we have no mission going on right now, then he'd get back to the HQ to regroup with others and reload...

But if we are actually doing a mission, what stop the far-away member to go at the mission directly? Or go back at the HQ, reload and get healing, and when he's ready to call for orders?

I don't quite see the problem.

Also, it might just be bad luck or something but I seems to have a hard time finding ammo in the PD next to the HQ. I searched for 10 AP today and only found a pistol clip while in the PD of Chudleytown I managed to find a complete arsenal in only a few AP...

Just to tell:
My original plan as a freelancer was to get XP untill I got level 10 and the zombie hunter ability, stack up on ammo, and go zombie hunting

That turned out to be boring, as no area was particulary suitable, so I decided I might as well head for Yagoton. This in turn turned out to be ideal for my original purposes, so I'm currently lingering some.

Now I realize that I'm considered part of this team, and I'll try and act as such. I'll go with you when you leave. But right now I need to stock up on ammo, and I need two more XP to buy construction or something

Anyway, it might be usefull to get a complete draft of the plan befor we leave, along with a little inventory of which characters can do what, and how much gear they have

I just realised something tough; if the plan is going to take effect soon (5 days is not too long), we should send one or two scouts there to make sure our trip won't be in vain and to plan our move. I'd hate to see everyone moving SE when there is in fact nothing there to worry about or aim our weapons at, or split all up and end up all dead because we didn't bothered to secure a specific building...

I am ready to go scout there myself if you guys want to. Next skill I'll purchase is free running and I'm halfway there, and since I have necro tech employment I can scout for necro buildings. If we actually go there, finding a way to revive fallen members is probably one of our top priorities.

i'm with the same problem... i've just spent the last 2 days AP searching for ammo, and i could only manage to find a pistol clip and a fire axe

i need more ammo... could this be a bug? or are some PD's more armored than others? i've never had this problem till now... well maybe it was just my luck that left me alone

as for that, there are 2 things: first, i don't know if you had to travel a long way to arrive yagoton, but i did, and even if now i am with full HP (however no ammo at all) i had to travel between some places with LOTS of zeds and it is almost impossible to survive without tons of ammo and luck and co-operating with survivors. and so, most of us that had to do this are now with little HP and ammo and cannot go directly to our next mission objective. SO (and this is the second thing ) if we all re-group we could heal each other and fulfill our ammo needs and then go on maximum force. or explore our options:

like i said, if we were enough we could make a recon team. i don't know if you had this experience, but i did, and in certain districts there are so many zeds that going alone or within a group not well prepared it's suicide. i don't know the actual status of shearbank, but if it is a zombie-district, sending only two members it's clearly suicide.

other option is seeing we have enough people to make 2 groups, but still not enough to make a recon group; we could make a plan where one group would make an "north route" to the nearest hospital in shearbank and the second group would make an "south route" to the nearest PD in shearbank, securing the both and then cleaning the precint.

can you see what i mean? with my experience throughout the game i guess now regroup it's the better option... but after all, my opinion has so much value as yours yagoton it's a peaceful district where one can survive by himself, but that not's the case on many other districts...

Do not worry, I know what I am doing. For scoutism, I would use the Urban Dead Map Ressource to plan my way in tighly and aim for either an Hospital, a PD or a Fire Station first and then look if it's secure (Nurton Walk Fire Station @ [51, 20] seems to be a very good start). Then, and only then I would "really" scout around and look if there is really a high zombie threath.

And yes, I was somewhat far from Yagoton when I started. I was in Chuddleytown which is 3 blocks west and one block south of Yagoton. At first I thought it would take me weeks to get to Yagoton, but once I finnaly decided to do the trip I realised that I could have done it easily in one 50 AP day...

Oh, and I just realised that the Necro Tech Buildings in the Map Ressource appears in red, so I won't need to scout for them...
