![]() I need tips on how to beat Sebi Aktsan the thinker, one of the Dainsevs, in Frena. One strike of "Judgement of Petrify" and that's it, my party will perish right away. What is a good strategy to prevent this?

![]() Never mind, by utilizing Carbuncle Dainsev, I was able to survive long enough for counter-attack and defeat Sebi. I need new tips, though, which are on how to battle Queen of Magik (in the Temple of Lost Magik) and Watcher Beta (in Lost Lab). Help, anybody?

![]() Beat the Queen of Magik and Watcher Beta finally. Now, the challenge is to beat Watcher Omega and Paradorn. Tips will be appreciated, especially when they use Ultima spell, there's no way my current party will be able to survive

![]() Well, Red Temple... that is about halfway through the game already. Except that I don't get it when people said this game can be finished in 12 to 15 hours. I'm on 30 hours now, and still have not collected enough Dark Matter (need 70 for Ultima Spell) and Purity Chalice (need 99 to trade for Ribbon, I only found one in Avanta, and I think I need at least two for my party). Not to mention hours spent in the dig site in Kortira and in the arcade section in Finel Capital), that is if you want to collect all Dainsevs.

![]() Huh? The download link on this site http://velv.net/FFEN.html seems to be working fine.
Anyway, it turned out I could get Ultima spell out of the Magic Pot in the Lost Lab. However I was not too lucky, and I had to spend at least a hundred Cryna Orbs or so, just to get one Ultima spell. With Ultima spell, Atlas Dainsev, and Flare spell, I was able to defeat Paradorn, both the first and the second form. So, I guess I completed the game, except that I still cannot defeat Watcher Omega. Heck, I did not even have a chance to try it. Watcher Omega strikes first, and with just one swipe of Ultima spell all my characters are gone. Has anyone ever defeated Watcher Omega? The strongest character in my party is Deren, and he only has about 400 something HP, while Watcher Omega's Ultima spell strikes at about at least 600 something HP. It feels rather boring just training again and again to get higher HP, especially with a rather strange HP levelling system like that. |

![]() Oh my goodness, I forgot to login again. That post above is mine.
BTW, I have noticed in this thread how people experience problem just to play this game. Well, just download RPG Maker 200 RTP from Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/utility/RPG%20Maker%202000.exe), and install it. Then download both FFEN_V2.zip file (http://velv.net/Games/FFEN_V2.zip) and EN_RTP.zip file (http://velv.net/Games/EN_RTP.zip), extract them to a folder of your choice. Locate the file RPG_RT.exe in that folder of your choice where you have extracted those FFEN_V2.zip and EN_RTP.zip file, and you should be able to run the game. EDIT: As for the font problem, well I don't experience any font problem whatsoever, so I cannot guarantee this will solve the font problem for those who do experience it, but I think if you download the font patch (http://amaranthia.com/downloads/font_patch.exe) and install it, it should fix this problem. Yeah, it is actually a font patch for another game (which is featured on Abandonia Reloaded if I am not mistaken), but I think it is related to RPG Maker 2000 font, so well maybe it will help. EDIT: On second thought, ignore the paragraph above about font patch. I don't think it will work 'cause it is for a totally different game, so the specs most likely be different as well. |
