1 was definatly too harsh for this game.
Glad to see it got a much more deserved rating. I agree, it improved greatly over the horrid original.

I played the original on the C64 I admit but 5/5 for the original is still a bit too much. I'd give it a 2.5,  .

"the horrid original" is actualy mastertronics Barbarian (which will soon be on this site), and has nothing to do with thies game (i.e. it's not the preqel, just has the same name).

The game isn´t so bad for its time (1989).
If you like this genres try also the classics Golden Axe, Gods, Rastan, Unreal (not the 3D game but the old one from Ubisoft), Bert the Barbarian and Deathbringer. |

Actually "AXE OF RAGE" is the name of PC version of Barbarian 2, just like "Death Sword" is the name of PC version of Barbarian. Only here they left "BARBARIAN 2" signing in the game.
