The fact is we all know it makes sound. The question is thousands and thousands of years old it was created when they had no knowledge of such reasons why sound exists, so they thought it could be possible that the sound would not exist.

The question is still of importance Iron_Scarecrow, and that importance has nothing to do with physics.
More with your view of the world, existance, and, OMG's point (although OMG might have been joking there, not sure), your mind.

And besides, natural physics are only theorem that seem to work out allright :bleh:

EDIT: Way too many comma's there...
not entirely content with this post.

I think you'd be a little messed up to even think there is no sound made.

That's indisputable, the real question is whether the sound has to be there.

I think it does, but there we are.

It does make a sound.
If we're there, we hear the sound.
If we're not there, we don't hear the sound.
If I don't go to a concert far from where I live, I'll hardly hear the music.
Then again, it's mostly the man who saws down trees, so it's likely the sound will be heard, the death cry of a silvan being going to become a bunch of kleenex-s or pages of
a Harry Potter book. Now isn't this just so VERY sad.

Save the trees! Eat beavers!!! LOL
Ok, seriusly the tree does make sound. Even if its not cutted down. It creeks ans squeeks if the wind blows, the leaves flopping, the branches twiggle...etc. So it does make sound wheter it's cut down or not, wheter you are there or not...

Exactly.... k:

Yes! This is the problem!

Does the sound exist? There is something existing? Or we all live in... Matrix?
