If the text was not yellow (something like white maybe?), and this was something other than a quote - something wth like 'spoiler' tags, then this would be a spoiler. Quite useful for providing hints in games without showing people if they don't want to see.

Now lets see how that turned out. I'm not sure if you can add it to these forums, but you could convert the "code" tags to spoiler ones which would be used more.
