Have to agree with you on that a little. I hate it how things are "unlocked" only by playing the game. I have less trouble with it when it is only extra's like the movie stills and such in Chronicles of Riddick but in Max Payne they manage to it to actually lock the difficulty levels which is insane.

I don't mind it that you need to fight through the hard setting to get a different ending from the easier ones but I do mind it when I have to finish the game twice before in order to do even be able to attempt the hardest level. Not to mention that when I format my HDD or get a new computer (which happend to me) I need to go through the entire process all over again.

Yes...

That`s very strange action from them....isnt there some patch where you can skip it??

I know there is an official patch with some extra maps but that wasnt that special :not_ok:
