Both the fights and the riddles in MM3 are harder than in WoX.

The mirrors do work, you just have to find out the codes for your destinations. They are written on the walls of the town somewhere, you should have seen them while exploring.

The game doesn't write down as much in its auto-notes as WoX does so I recommend using pen and paper or a text editor to write down the notes.

Yes, i found some strange codes written on the walls and was surprised what they mean..

Correct, the fights are harder than in WoX.
One more thing : I am very unpleased because i have no idea where to is directed my face - in fact i have no any compass and moreover my X image on the map has no arrow, indicating N,S, W,E.
After, in MM4,5 NWC solved this problem.

Delay should affect how fast some aspects of the game are running, probably to make the game work both on slow and fast PCs.

To see which direction your party is facing you need a character with the "direction sense" skill, you have to find some place where you can learn it.

I killed Overlord Rat. What a code, Mine Gott!
It is hide in the name. Just to try some combinations and do not forget Plural.
Great idea to spend gold for Experience.
They have to keep in MM4,5.
Maybe is better and more handy present Inventary.
I mean we have only: Weapon, Armour and Misc.

May i said that maybe MM5 is harder than MM3 and 4.
I remember my favorite Lava monsters and our necken (tease).

I think there was a moment when You really thought i weep about this funny battle. No. Kidding.

The true and only true:
- First time i entered in Lava section, located far left above in MM5 i met 2-3 Lava monsters, which were no problem for brave.
Then i reatreat, rest and again step ahead.
But now, wow, was attacked by wave of 10-15 Lava monsters.
Of course i was unable to counter attack.
Aber brave is old fox. I saw that 2-3 steps left is located Teleporter. Then i did my best to eliminate the enemies between teleporter and me.
Rest is history and kidding.


Pls, what was Your harder moment in Clouds of Xeen?
Mine (You know was the very Lord Xeen, because of my stupidity - ha ha ha. But i was hero, dear Kmonster- all game to the meeting with the Lord without Weapons, Armour, only Spells. Whoever did same heroism?)

There's a difference between suicidal and heroic

I don't remember extremely hard battles in MM4, my party died now and then but everything was defeatable after a few retries. I guess I had the most difficulty fighting heavily armored monsters early in the game (insect swarms are painful if you haven't leveled up before and castle guards were hard to hit) and dragons which can cause a lot of damage if you don't hit them fast.
MM5 is quite challenging if you play it without MM4 but of course still doable.

If you think MM3 is easier than WoX that's because you have improved . But don't give a final statement before you've managed to finish the game.

Yes, the castle guards in Burlock castle were very strong and they attacked in group of 3-5 pieces.

Suiside? Nein.
With bare hands, body with spells only brave eliminated all minions of the Lord. In my last win i killed the Lord in 4 rounds, keeping all commandos alive. Only Rebecca used 2-3 times Power Cure.
Pls, do You know about hidden place named Shangri-la which gives You additional level?
OK. Try to back from Shangri-la but without using Teleport or Lloyd''s beacon spells but step by step. The exit is just before You, when entered..

I finished CoX being 16 level. I avoided some quests esp. in the desert with laying Minotaurs, not interesting to do again and again. You remember Yr level?

As much as I remember reading about it somewhere, there are some dungeons and other things in both games, which cannot be entered / used while in either of the two games alone. When you install the two games together though (all files in the same folder I think), those unusable locations suddenly become freely accessible - which ultimately expands both games for an even bigger world. The combination of two games was called World of Xeen.
It's an unusual, but very interesting concept, which no other game seems to have ever reproduced - essentially it's easier to provide a complete game from the start instead.
