Did FireFox leave parts of it's code in your "crucial .ini files" ? |

![]() Whoohoo. Another browser comparison topic, which will end in a spam-flooded flame-war in which everyone defends hir or hers favourite!!!
Mine's FireFox, but I sometimes use IE as well. I've even recently browsed the web with Arachne, which is a DOS (wh00t) graphical browser! |

![]() Firefox slow?
For me it's the opposite!! IE takes ages loading for me! I haven't tried Opera, though. I'm happy with Firefox, so I doubt I will. I only use IE if I really have to. |

![]() I just find IE to be... clunky. Having all those windows everywhere and all different sizes, it's just so much neater. I also like the extensions you can install, such as a built in downlaod accelerator and FTP client. The themes are also good (not all of them are horrible and multi-coloured
All in all Firefox just seems more professional and when I'm forced to use IE (at school and things) everything's so messy. (Plus fight against the evil Microsoft corporation :whistle |

![]() Oh yes, yet another browser topic
Well, I'm using Opera. One day I tried it and was quite fond of it, with the built-in search, page scaling, nice skins and the overall feel to it. I'm sure you can configure Firefox to look and behave pretty much the same, but I got used to Opera now so I'm sticking with it. |

![]() Yeah I've moved on to using Firefox. I don't think I'll ever use IE again. I thought about Opera, but the thought of ads there seems really dumb, and I don't want to pirate it. I like firefox because of its customisation and extensibility.

![]() I too enjoy using Firefox a lot more than IE, I feel much more safer browsing with the product, the extensions that there are for the program are very nice, plus tabbed browsing is very nice to use, rather than having multiple windows of a browser open.
This has prob been mentioned here's a link to speed up firefox http://iraszl.brinkster.net/creativebits/2...up-firefox.html

![]() Sorry, but the way I see it, if I have to go and edit chunks of code to make it run as well as IE on my machine, then it's defeating the purpose of "updating".

![]() I use IE and I would never use it without first playing with the security option and disabling Flash and Java. I guess you can call that "updating" too.

![]() Not really, no.
Editing Firefox for speed involves actually editing the code of the broswer. Turning off Java/Flash is an option in the tools tab. There's a SLIGHT difference. |
