A PC allows you to do more than just play games. To do the same with a console, you'd need a lot of messing with the thing (if possible at all).
Any console is going to be hopelessly outmatched by PC's halfway before its successor is released on the market, even if for the first six months or so it outmatches the PC's.

Also, you're again trying to compare things from different ages using the same scale. The games on this site were contemporary to 4th and 5th generation consoles. Read up on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History..._generation%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History..._generation%29

PS. Lack of installation is not really a factor in determining whether something is good or not. And the same goes for graphics, unless you're one of those "nu kidz on da block" who enjoy playing absolutely crap games with cool graphics and can't figure out why someone would play an awesome game with mediocre graphics (in which case I can only pity you for having an utter lack of taste).

Agreed. But instead of spending 200$ for a new console in hopes for new, great games, I'd spend it on older consoles. Even slightly older like the last generations PS2, X-Box & Gamecube. For older consoles, you know what to buy because all the games have been already made for them.

So? You still cant play Super Mario Galaxy or Dead Rising on PC.

Frankly I don't feel the need to play a new title of the series, my favourites are always the old Wolfenstein.

So technically, we are gonna get another basic shooter. So what if it had stealth elements? Goldeneye and No One Lives Forever had stealth elements too, but how many people noticed that.

what i really want to do is to play as a german/russian/iraqian(?) invading/sneaking/running and shooting americans in the face. using one side view only is kinda boring in the end.

i want to be one of the "bad guys" for a change.
