I am unfamiliar with Alone in the Dark, I don't think I can be of much assistence.
What have you done exactly? (Commands etc.)

I just start the game in the DOSBOX.
I opened the start-file (here TATOU.COM) and after that it appeared a window where I could choose between START GAME, CONFGURATIONS and END.
I chose START GAME and after that I just saw a black screen with the blinking cursor.
I tried other DOS-games with the DOSBOX and there weren´t any problems.
It´s just that one game I want to play which I can´t play. That´s very angrily

I sort of got it on Dosbox, but I typed in the directory (C:\alone\alone.exe) and it says "Alone in the Dark Loader done on the 92/10/30

look for other [FLT} Releases...

It´s a great Game!!! The first true Survival-Horror-Game!!! I really like ist to play, even after so many years, it´s just amazing!!!!!
I´m a great Resident Evil Fan and so i like to play Alone in the Dark also.
I can only repeat: GREAT GAME!!! One of the finest ever made!!! :bye:

Help! I encountered a weird bug... For some reason I can't use keys on doors. I walk up to the door, USE the appriopate key but it doesn't work.

Nevermind, got it. It's a shame, I had this installed in my computer some weeks ago but deleted it without even starting it once due to lack of free time. With my vacations coming up I wanted to download it again. Managed to find a French version but I just quit because I couldn't understand the story, which was the only part of the game I was interested in. Maybe I'll find a english version around the net.

Can someone tell me how to kill the pickford tree thing. I've put the talisman there and thrown the lighted lamp at him but nothing happens, is this a bug?

I've done that too, and nothing happens... what else can i do to end the game?

I think death works but it's hardly an ideal ending.
