-If I run the game flat-out from Windows, the window closes itself right away -If I run the game from DOSbox 0.65, the game freezes at the "Accessing Shadow Network" Screen -both of these are with sound driver set to no sound Any help? |

![]() Try VDMSound. Also, read the previous posts in this thread and run a Search in Troubleshooting forum - chances are someone already had that problem and found a solution.

![]() I have a question about Quality of Life levels.
After the year 2000, the quality of life levels start to fall off all over the world. At first, I thought it could be fixed by expanding trade and strengthening economic times, but this seems to only exacerbate the problem. Then I thought it might be caused by too much (e.g., over 5%) yearly GDP growth -- a kind of inflation simulation. So i kept my growth at 5% which seemed to stave off the problem for a bit, but not prevent it -- around 2008 or so, QoL tanks to below 80%. Also, a curious thing: Canada seems to be best at hanging on to its 100% QoL rating, sometimes as much as 10 or 12 years into the century before finally plunging too. Haven't been able to figure out why that is. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what causes it and how it might be prevented? Also, has anyone been able to access the manual? If so, maybe someone could upload it here as a text file? |

![]() Hi, I just downloaded the game, but it always stays at the title screen (Where you see 'Shadow President', but I can't go any further...Anyone has an idea of how that can be. Does it have anything to do with the quotes before you start the game? Thanks for your help... |

![]() I've conquered most of the world, but can't select really small island nations like french polynesia and the faroe islands. Does anyone know how to select countries that are too small for a mouse click?

Also dont forget, in the Arab Gulf you have Bahrein and Qatar its easy to miss the last one Also don't forget that there are some islands north of Norway and West-Russia that are considered independent states. NOTE: Sometimes you will see some islands that should belong to a country, but the game says it can't find the region file or something. You should basically ignore these as it is caused by a scaling vault in the game. They are part of a country on the worldmap. Happy hunting |
