Tsk, you insist on going ahead with this, professor?

When I meant the movie said it all I was of course referring to Elsa's fate.

And btw, the movie is not as good as the game. Raiders Of The Lost Ark, now there's a decent film.

Furthermore, I don't see myself as a very good adventurer, but not that bad that I will stoop to using saved games. Certainly not in a Lucas Arts adventure. Face it, they're not that hard to solve.

I fully agree with that statemant. These games aren't that difficoult (and even if they were there are dozens of sites - including this one - where you can get solutions). And yes - Raiders of the Lost Ark was a much better movie IMHO then Last Crusade as well.

Can someone help me with Dosbox?

Well I remember playing that game on a 486 using Win 3.1 ...
I'm on a Windows 98SE box now.
Why am I not able to run the game through DOS and I need Dosbox?
Is there a way to play it like the good old time?
I drag and dropped the indy256.exe into Dosbox and it opened it.
Graphics and sound are working but I think it's a little slow.
The fps's.
Why is that?
Maybe it's just my impression?

Also, the biggest problem...the screen is not aligned right.
When switching to full screen mode, a few cm from the screen are cut.
How can I fix this and restore the normal position?

How do I exit Dosbox while playing the game?
I'm doing it with alt-esc for now.

Btw, awesome site!

The game should be able to run, but you might have sound troubles. The game is trying to automatically configure the soundcard - and that's why it crashes (I had the same problem). Try running it with a switch (instead of "Indy256" type "Indy256 /s"). This should do it, but it will only have the PC Internal speaker. MAybe if you try Indy /a it would run with ad-lib sound, but you'd need to reconfigure it probably.

So again: When you're in DOS mode (under Win98) try the command Indy256 /s.

hello all!
you've been really helpfull with recomending the dosbox, and i ran it and the game works (sound too). but the problem is, i cannot box. i step into the ring and try using the keys for boxing but it does nothing. i tried switching the num lock on and off and still nothing. the F5 command works fine, so it's not the whole keyboard. can someone tell me what to do?

I know this might sound silly, but have you tried the regular number keys (above the letters). It might work - but I never had the kind of problem you described. Also if I remember corectly you may fight with a mouse too.

Perhaps it's just the numerical keys that's the problem?

Have you tried using another keyboard?

ok, my brother helped me with that. it works with the regular numbers, not the numeric pad.
but now the problem is that the game is slow the screen changes (when i enter or exit the room). im running it with the dosbox and tried running it with the scumm thing but i dont know how. it says i need to copy the game files somewhere but i didnt understand where.
