I'm not sure what was my first game. Maybe Tetris, maybe River Raid on C64, I'm sure that first game that I tried on Sega was Spider-Man and Venom - Maximum Carnage. Prehistorik and Prince of Persia were first on 286 under DOS, and Wolfenstein 3D on Windows PC.

Bro. The thread was made in 2005, not sometime in 2006. So it's even older than that.

Anyway, the first game I played was probably Super Mario Bros. 2 or something like that. Something on the NES, anyways.

Yeah? That's 2005. Even if late 2005, it would never be 2.5 years old anytime in 2009. Only 2008.

Between 2005 and 2009 goes 4 years. So, if anything, it could be around 3.5 years old if made in the late 2005.

We had this strange console at home. It was a kind of big white panel with three knobs on each side for two players. There were three games, selectable through a simple switch:
- Pong
- Tennis (Pong with a line in between)
- Squash (Pong with a reflecting line at one side of the screen)

That must have been around 1985. I have never found out if this "console" actually had a name or brand.

EDIT: I've found it! It was a Magnavox Odyssey 400

Next came an Atari2600 in 1986 with the 32 games collection along with some other games, an AppleIIE in 1987 with Wumpus, Hard Hat Mack, Lode Runner and others, and finally my first PC in 1989 (a 80286AT with 14! MHz in Turbo-Mode and a 40 MB hard disk) with Alley Cat and Oliver & Company as first games.

These were the times...

Hmm, this is a tricky one. It would've had to be on my C=64 (or if arcade games count, then Donkey Kong).

It was one of these:
Snoopy (not Snoopy and Peanuts, but an old game with Snoopy going from screen to screen and jumping over things that sometimes move - can't find a link)
Aztec Challenge
Super Pipeline or
Fire Ant

Can't remember which one was the first though (it was more than 20 years ago, after all).

Since I was born in 1990 I don't really have a long experience with old games. My first game was probably a Chip 'N Dale or Mario game for NES. And don't think I've played those games in the early years of the platform. Actually I think the consoles were some kind of chinese clones of NES which arrived late in our country.

Soon after that I made a sudden jump to Dreamcast and Playstation. My first games on these included a Sonic and a FIFA game.

My first game on PC, though, was either the first Medal of Honor or Battlefield 1942 (I'm not sure which since they're both about WWII).
