If anyone's reading this, I don't think the links to download go to PoP2. I think they go to a demo for PoP:WW, the new PoP game which is actually PoP5, but they call PoP2 for some reason.
Do you refer to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within?`Calling that new would be not be entirely accurate (a great game though). It's really amazing, the way the good people of Ubisoft have incorporated a fun (almost Tekken-like) combat-system in the series. Combat system is one thing, but you can really feel, that they have taken Jordan Mechner in on level-design-support - great game! k:

(sorry - that was a little )

Unfortunately, the download links provided on the synopsis page for this at abandonia take one to purchase pages for the latest 3D title in the series, which weighs in at a hefty 3.some-odd GIGS. Obviously, this is NOT the actual 'Prince of Persia' 2 game discussed on the pages, here.

Is this game still protected and has rights owned by someone, or is it possible to download a full copy from somewhere else other than the links provided? I'm not really able to find it on eMule or any of the other P2P networks, likely because of its primitive graphics...but I love such games and would be interested in checking it out. I tried a demo of the Mac version years ago and it was VERY fun.

I don't see any kind of button in the review, actually. No "Buy it", no "Get it", nor even "ESA No-Go".

There is no button, but there are 3 download links. So what's the deal?

The deal is, the links are placed in a different location then normally. Once someone got used to Abandonia's normal layout...

And of course, they all link to Warrior Within.

Yes. That's what the "what's the deal" is about. Why do we have links to not-the-game and links to the game (or in this case the ESA no go button)?

Should we be putting links on all games that get mondern updates? Come on, somethings not right on this page.

Well.....I'm sitting with The Two Thrones right here, and indeed - it's a great great game....But so has all the Prince of Persia games been (excepting the one Jordan Mechner didn't have any influence on - Prince of Persia 3D)....Personally, my favorites are Prince of Persia (I) and Warrior Within (the dahaka-chases were brilliant). But as we have discussed before, me choosing PoP over PoP2 has something to do with a) The combat system, b) PoP having the "charm of the original".
