Also possible that your copy of the game is a CD-RIP and the speech/sounds were removed to save space.

Or, your game detects midi and can play music through that, but speech doesn't run very well through roland/midi.

This game is just fantastic, got this one when i just started playing PC games and played it all the way to the end without playing any other game :brain:

Just as Sam and Max came out in a version that runs well in Windows, will this game also come out in such a version, or has it already???
I mean that it should not be the same version as the original cd, but a windows-compatibel-version.

Because these kind of games are worth supporting.

Actually, the "windows compatibility" of recent re-releases is a result of integrating DosBox with the games, not actual re-doing of the code to support modern hardware. Lame-o.

Narkoegle, in my opinion the publishers simply chickened out with the "solution" they used. That's why I consider what they did to be lame.
