![]() The game you're looking for is called Kingdom, but it's not the Kingdom that Megaten referenced. Here's a screenshot that should bring back a rush of nostalgia:
![]() It was part of the GW-BASIC pack, which you can download right here. The game files are in the .bas format, so you'll need an extra piece of software to run them. I used Qbasic and it worked like a charm. Lemme know if you need any further help. |

![]() Now I can't figure out how to play it with qbasic. Downloaded qbasic, and when I get to the blue screen, I don't know what to do. Dosbox won't play the game, either. It says illegal command every time I try to run it with dosbox.

![]() Try QBASIC gamename.bas in the command prompt.
Load "Gamename.bas" could work too, inside Qbasic itself, but I don't know exact syntax of it, so first way is preferred. |

![]() Thanks,
I tried both of your suggestions; neither worked. Inside QB, I went to FILE, OPEN, to see if the game is loaded into it. Nothing. I don't know how to load the game into QB. I just double-click the game on my desktop and QB opens, but there is no game file inside of it. commands in dosbox aren't working either. |

![]() I typed "/run kingdom.bas" into the blue screen of QB. Nothing happened.
I typed "qbasic /run kingdom.bas" into the blue screen ob QB. Nothing happened. I typed both of those commands into the BLACK screen of dosbox. Nothing happened. Double clicking the game file immediately sends me to the QB blue screen. But nothing is loaded into QB. When I go to FILE and OPEN, there are no files to load. I typed the recommended commands into the blue scrreen, but nothing happened. Is there anyone out there who actually runs .bas programs?? |

And for second, I would recommend to get "real", DOS QB (linked on the previous post is wrong - it is embedded in the DOSBox). Here is normal v.1.1. |
