That might be why mounting a different directory worked then 5th.
Rather than simply change the game's cfg file, surely it's easier to change the whole architecture of yr computer

when i open dos box

i type:

mount f f:\
then
F:
then
F:\cd GameTrial
F:\GameTrial\cd Knight~1
F:\GameTrial\Knight~1\Dir
and it gives all the file names
To get this working right what do i need to put in the ddk.cfg file to save the characters? and what am i replacing?

Many old games won'l like being ran from a drive F with no existent drive C, D, E or F.
First rename the game directory to DKK. Then:
mount C f:\GameTrial
C:
cd DKK
start

Hey guys - Im running this game in XP and when I try and save a created character it says 'cant locate dkk directory'

Im really not computer minded so any help on this will be very much appreciated

Edit: Okay I moved the dkk folder to C: and when I try and save a character I dont get the error and goes to the main menu screen (the one with add character etc) but it doesnt seem to save them as I cant start the game :/

Run it in DOSBox. Windows XP is not very compatible with these old games.

In every RPG from SSI you can delete the *.cfg file. Then start the game. Without the cfg file, the setup starts. There you can choose the graphics, sound, mouse or keybord control and finally the path for the savegames plus the path where to import the characters from previous game.

I've just started to play Death Knights of Krynn, and every time I input the correct word from the Adventure's Journal, I get sent back with a different one. After two more tries, I get booted off.

Is there a bug in the game? Thanks in advance.

It is possible that the game has been cracked try just pressing enter when it asks for a word without entering anything.

I did that, and... no dice albeit downloaded said game from this website.
