I have the CD version of this game and I got the "go back to your girlfriend" ending. I also didn't encounter any of the other problems mentioned in this thread.

Default Game save
I managed to read thru the formu, but I didnt find the solution for the "saving games" problem. I run the game, I turn the text on, I can type to the save slot anything I want, but when I press OK, or Enter (or both at the same time :-) ) nothing happens?? Mayby I miss some info in previous post...
I have Dosbox .72, 12k cycles.

The SPEECH.part1.rar file that _r.u.s.s. posted a link to, requires a password for extraction. Does anyone know what the password is?

it does? i don't remember making it pw protected.. try abandonia. are you sure your download is not corrupted?
