The sound card (AdLib or Roland) can be activated by passing the "ADLIB" or "ROLAND" parameters on the command line, as stated in the manual. This does not work with the crack (immortal.com), but does work with the game itself (immortal.exe), so start the game by typing "immortal.exe adlib" or "immortal.exe roland". You'll have to look up the copy protection code in the manual, which is downloadable as a PDF as well.
