Don't build too many housekeepings, that'll make the existing ones go lazy.
Depending on how broad your tower is, one housekeeping every two or three floors will do when you connect them with a service elevator.

when i try to run setup.exe i get "The image file blahblahblah\SETUP.EXE is valid, but is a machine type other than the current machine"
i assume that's because i'm using xp x64?
i tried messing with the compatibility settings, but same thing
any suggestions?
there is only a windows version of this game, yes?

i think its with old version of windows installer
try unpacking this installed version. the game itself is installed in C:\Simtower and there are some files which go to windows and windows\system

the direcotires with files in the archive are made exactly in the same way as they are supposed to be put on a hdd, begining with "c" drive

pick any archiver you like
zipped 2.2 mb
rared 1.7 mb
self extracting exe 7.4 mb (for those who cant update archiver for any reasons)

I played this game for a while, but now I'm done with it. But I can't uninstall it from my computer. I'm on XP, and when I go to the Control Panel for adding/removing programs, it does not show up. Please help! Am I stuck with this program on my computer forever?

The fact is that you didn't install any registry files when you put it on your computer (so no entry on the install/uninstall), you just extracted it from a zip.

Don't worry, this is a good thing, just delete the folder the game is in. Poof gone, no traces remain.
