![]() OK so here's the deal - I'm getting Xbox live soon, and also I want to move this PC into my room, and thus I need my room to be broadband-tastic. The thing is, the broadband jack is downstairs, and my room is, like a lot of bedrooms, upstairs. I've looked at wireless adapters, cable extensions, wireless modems, the lot, and now I'm just plain confused.
So the question is - what should I do? Bear in mind that a cable extension, although it's an option I'm definitely considering, would probably be a pain, because it's quite far between the jack downstairs and my room. How do wireless routers work? I thought it would be a transmitter and a receiver, but apparently it isn't, and I don't get it. If I got one, could I run it from the same source socket as my wired broadband connection? Help me please. |
