I'm sure there's a few Linux users around here. Hopefully.

Anyways, I'm setting up a dual-boot system at home, but I've tried this a few times before and always end up with the same problem.

I can't seem to get my Wireless USB adapter to work properly, and as a result cannot connect to the internet (which is a big problem in Lunix, as anyone who has used it will know it's very internet-dependant at times).

I first tried Slackware a couple years ago and gave up because I just couldn't get my internet running. Then about a year ago tried Fedora, only to get the same problem. (I haven't tried newer versions of these distros though)

Last week I installed the latest version of Ubuntu, and even now it still seems that wireless USB devices are something of a stumbling block in Linux. It finds the device, and it even has the drivers for it installed already, but it just doesnt... work.

Anyways, I've posted about this on several Linux forums over the years, and it seems that people either can't help me or don't want to help me. So I thought I'd try on here, just to see if anyone had any ideas. No harm in trying, like.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get my BT Voyager 1010 Wireless USB adapter to connect to my router in Linux?

OR Does anyone know of a Linux distro that is likely to support my device without too much messing about?

Kanotix has good compatibility. try that it might work.
It's a live cd that's installable from the desktop. I use it for my dual-boot system.

WM's are: K.D.E. / gnome, Twim, and some outher stuff that I forgot :P

I use ubuntu olny problem is that I need ,mmore ram for my linux system im making for it. Stupid onboard graphics anyway. I think you should try and see if you can get a driver from the maker of what ayou are trying to install for linux. It maybe worth a shot.
