Also the 'exit' button cannot be interrected with like the other buttons, and the only way i can stop playing the game is by re starting m computer.....anyone have any ideas ?!
Thanks.

Amazon - Guardians of Eden is a point-and-click adventure, but I suggest you use the keyboard as well (the mouse interface isn’t precise enough so it’s easier to use the keyboard to walk and interact with things by using the mouse). The interface itself needs some getting used to. You have some buttons at the bottom of the screen. If none of the buttons is pushed, you’ll see a target cursor, which makes the character move around (but you may get stuck behind an object). If you push any of the buttons, the cursor will change (so now you can use, pick up, look in the inventory, climb, talk or exit a room). You can still move around using the arrow keys, even if the cursor is changed - which comes in really handy, as you usually need to be extremely close to an object to interact with it.
There are two more buttons for help - you set the level of hints before running the game for the first time - and you can save and load games; there are points in the game at which you really should save.

This is ridiculous. The screenshots shows words in spanish! Amazon is located in Brazil, and we don't speak spanish here. It's portuguese. You guys should have a minimum respect for brazilians. And you think you are so smart! Doesn't even know spanish is not the language of Brazil.

Sorry for these rude words, but I consider this an act of great disrespect with my people.
Hi all,

I just played the game and found it very entertaining. I played other access games back in good old dos times and liked them very much. This one is no difference.

First of all my comment on this aged post above. The screenshot he / she is referring to is in Cuzco. Cuzco however is in Peru and the official language in peru IS SPANISH. So there are no mistakes.

More importantly: Many people complained about not being able to pick up the raft in the crashed plane. YES THERE IS A BUG! See the HOTU page of the game, they refer to this bug and offer a patch. However the patch (basically a newer executable file) did not work on my computer. Odd...

Having no other choice left I tried to manipulate a savegame with a Hex Editor. I succeded in turning a game saved inside the plane after the pilot - ehmm - left into a savegame that picks up at the beginning of the cutscene after jason left the plane.

I offered the savegame to the site, lets see if they add it to the download.

If you have to alter a save game yourself:

1. save after the pilot fell out of the plane. (Be sure you have all the items from cuzco!!!)

2. load this savegame into a Hex Editor

3. Change the top left double digit into 18

4. Save and run the game with it.

It should work - you still have the pump that you should have used, but that does not matter.

hth,

Ronny

Feel free to comment and discuss this game here. Also, if you have any useful tips or tricks don't hesitate to share them with the others! Thanks!

Review and Download (if available)
I am very sorry that you felt angry about reading Spanish in Brazil. But if you played the game you would find out that the plot takes place in PERU and not in Brazil. And what so ever, but any guy from Peru could be angry reading anything different than Spanish in Peru

All the best

What can the reviewers do about that then?? It's not their fault, it's the fault of the game developers.

djeez,
I don't hear any Belgians complain that Belgian (original) fries are (for some unknown reason) called French fries.

On topic:

I'm really gonna check out this game! Looks and sounds great
But then again - the review says nothing about Brazil anyway, so don't assume that it's Brazil simply because we're talking about the Amazon.
