IMO post count should show how much somebody is active on the forums, it's stupid when you see that a person has made around 400 posts but on the post count it's shown 20-30, then it's better to have no post count at all since it doesn't have any purpose, because it doesn't show actual persons activity.
I don't think post counts should be looked as rewards for posting something useful or constructive, but to do what they are made for, count posts.
