It seems that as you go north, the joy people take in rotten food increases.

Actually it is very common. It is a Christmas dish for a quarter of the Norwegian population. The other three quarters mostly

just by looking at the "dish".
Personally I can't stand the stuff, but my mom loves it. The eyes are the best, I've been told.
