That's very strange. I wondered if there was a problem with the .zip files on my site (maybe a corrupt file in there?), but they seem just fine. I downloaded both the patched 1.01 and original 1.00 versions and they ran successfully in DOSBox with generic settings. |

![]() In retrospective, the game suck, no matter what you do even if you manage to fix the various problem you can't save the USSR.

![]() Hi. Does anyone have an idea how the economics of this game work?
There is some Russian guy who has a lets play on youtube, he constantly changes the budget, sometimes adding excessive amounts of money to raw materials, then to R&D and scientist/technician poltical influence, and it seems this strategy pays off. Is the economy more efficient if it is more market-oriented? Do political instability, or swift changes in economic politics, contribute to economic outcomes? |

I haven't tried yanking money around wildly like that, no--I've always tried to keep things pretty steady. Tech advances are nice, but they don't happen too often and according to the moddable files, they do something like add 5-10% productivity to agriculture, not too impressive. Swift changes to your policies, including economic ones, tends to lead to a quick ouster from leadership. As I mention in my fan site, you can make big changes in policy, but you have to do it a little bit at a time. |

![]() The explanation of RESULTS.DAT and the mod info are behind a registration wall. Can either be moved to a more accessible location?

![]() If you mean my Crisis site, there was a time when it wasn't available due to problems on the back-end servers. It should be back up now.

![]() Hi Dave! Long time not seen.
I tested Crisis in Kremlin, and only flashing buttons for me - ones on the main screen (5-year plan, reports, etc). And it seems that it's simply refreshing. So to avoid it, try to rise Dosbox cycles. At least, it works for me (I set it on max |
