It's the same thing.
Cranking down the graphic settings changes it into an exact replica of the original.

Remake!
'Another World' is being re-made by its maker. The remake includes the most complete version of the game, and is as flexible as possible: you can go from the original simple 2D version to a far more complex 3D version - with the exact same content. Full version and demo out, regular patches fix issues.
