He didnt die in a safari. You will know that if you win the game.
Well, it had something to do with a tiger or lion mauling him. And I meant the father. Not that strange child.

5 Days A Stranger is cool but way too short. The puzzles are logical (good point), but also too easy (bad point). The story is cool, but really classical (story about a haunted manor). They say the game is gory, but don't be afraid : it's less gory than Gabriel Knight (that wasn't already so gore). All in all, a good game worth trying. Too bad the final puzzle is really illogical (you can find easily but without knowing why).

He wasn't killed by any animals.

*SPOILER*
He was killed by something of his own blood.

Hey buddies! Can ya believe that I am playing this GREAT game for the third time?! Yesss, I like it that much! The nostalgic feeling it gives to me is offered by very few games of it's genre. The plot, the charas, the feel, the effect, the overall execution of the AGS engine... It is simply GRRREAT! k:

If you're already in the fifth day, then you've already used the teddy bear on the "Matthew-Detector", so you just need to get it separated again.

This game seems to cause problems in wine. I had it running before a wine update. I first thought it was due to the AGS engine used by this game. Later found that "Ben Jordan:Paranormal detective" is playable.
If you want to go to the trouble there is a linux port of the AGS engine
