![]() Hey guys. Ive asked before, and no one's ever been able to think of what i'm talking about. However I didn't think anyone would mind me asking again, since we have new people with new brains for me to pick. (Blood-Pigggy and others mainly).
The game i'm thinking of is like Scorched Earth. You have tanks, and your trying to shoot other tanks in the play area. You had to spesify the direction, and power and angle of the shot. The view wasn't 2d like Scorched Earth or it's many clones. It was an almost top-down angle. like a 3/4ths angle. I do not remember if you could rotate the view or not. I don't think you could zoom in or out or anything though. Also, when you shot, or got shot at, you and your opponents would say funny things in humorous russian voices, or Arnold voices and the such, like in Worms, and you could hear them speaking like in Worms. I also remember there was an aspect of the game that involved a Tesla Coil. I think it was used to gauge your HP, or movement points, or power or something. but I know something had to do with a Tesla Coil. I know it's not Scorched 3d, it isn't that new. I'd say its between 1993 - 1996, could be a little later. Also, I don't remember if it was DOS or Windows, but it did use the mouse. |

![]() It sounds very familiar but it doesn't seem to ring a bell.
Can you try squeezing out more information? In the meantime I'll go and scope out Mobygames.

![]() Not really...it's been a long time ago I played it. The only thing else I can remember are a couple of the the funny things said when enemies shot at you. One would be "Your shoelaces are untied!" and later they'd say "Your shoelaces are united!" as I guess some inside joke.
Also I know you had shields like Scorched Earth....and I don't think they tanks could move. They were stationary, but if they did move, it was like Scorched Earth, using some sort of finite "fuel" to move only a few inches on the screen. The controls were at the bottom, with meters, and arrows to determine shot power, angle, and the such. And shields, (maybe hull too) and weapons I THINK were on the right... Thats all I really remember....Sorry I can't provide more. And some of the stuff may be wrong, but doubtful. This is all from "childhood memory". |
