Privateer doesn't work
Does it work for xp and where can I get it. I downloaded it from a site(Don`t remember) but it didn`t work

i think you don't see here it soon. I would guess it's still somehow licensed. Nevertheless it works in dosbox (set ems=false in dosbox.conf). If you use win9x you could also use myJEMM to run the game
