I found this site about a week or so ago, and have had a lot of fun with a few of my old favorite DOS games. I thought I had more or less lost interest in playing games, but now I know I haven't - it's just that they don't make games like they used to. I've been "lurking" a little here and have decided to join, it looks like you guys are having fun - and I wanted my first post to be a big thank you for an amazing site!  |

Its too bad that Abandonia can't put up the old Horrorsoft games, like the Elvira 1 RPG and Waxworks as those games are classics with great atmosphere and created by a bunch of Lovecraft horror lovers. Also those Horrorsoft games have some of the best MIDI music ever and I usually don't notice MIDI music in games. A very creepy Dario Argento (italian horror director) type music. If you don't have the game, I believe you can listen to the music here through the music link on this Horrorsoft memorial site. http://www.nemmelheim.de/horrorsoft/elvira/index6.html While Horrorsoft is no longer, there is a new horror game in the works by the former game creators and guess what? Its a Cthulhu game! http://www.callofcthulhu.com/ While I"ve been waiting for this game for several years, it looks like they are getting close to being done. i think it'll be an console game for the xbox (maybe other platforms too eventually). |
