![]() So, any way that I can lock my Pentium IV cpu at 1.7 (max) without having it trying to go below that every now and then and screw up my gaming? Disabling the speedstep through bios does no good since it automaticaly reduces the cycles to 1.19 which sucks. Is there any software that will not allow the cpu to go bellow 1.7, without of course wasting my resources so that I can play games at full cpu speed?

![]() If you mean have it plugged in, it is, all the time since the battery is like dead or something. It doesn't change that it automaticaly reduces the speed though.
