![]() I used to play this around 1991 or so, at a friend's place - his mom was a realtor and thusly they had a magical box known as a computer.
Basically, it was a first-person RPG game, sorta like Stonekeep, or the old TSR-style, but probably dated earlier. Actually, it looks similar to this, but i double checked and it's not the same. http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/58...on+Master.html You started out in a city alone. If you wandered around, the random encounters would be with high level NPCs and sometimes monsters, but all you could beat were paupers or peasants. You could get jobs in exchange for money, but you could get hurt if you had low scores in a demanding job. ie: burnt for 14 health in the kitchen. You basically had to work your way up from nothing, as my friends older brother (who was 12 at the time) managed to get a warhammer and didn't die in one hit, like we did. Character creation also scrolled past, so you didn't roll for Stats, but picked them out as they came past, on a bar that scrolled bottom to top. Any ideas? I'd love to get this game for said friend, running on DOSBOX, as he'd be overjoyed to see it again after nearly two decades! |
