Had a look at the websites n stuff, and I really like the look of the remake ("special edition"!), but the telltale stuff I don't like the look of so far. Will have to wait and see.

It will be great to have more Monkey Island
but I'm not sure about that picture of Guybrush & Elaine  Guess I'll have to wait and see.  EDIT You can see more about both Monkey Islands on Abandonware Ring, including footage of the new games. I'm definately sold on Monkey Island Special Edition. Not so keen on the graphics for Telltale's Tales Of Monkey Island, but I'll be buying them both anyway.

The characters in the remake are so f*cking ugly it makes me sad : just find the haircut designer and slice him open (not to speak of the picture of Guybrush & Elaine in the original link)
And the new stuff looks awful just the same : That supposed to be the Voodoo lady ??? Yick... Seriously, what the hell ? Looks like some moronic cross of Grim Fandango and Tim Burton cartoons. If you're only going to desecrate them, let the dead remain buried. I know I sound bitter. But I didn't went from enthusiastic to disappointed this fast in a long time. |
