I got this problem that when I try to play Privateer with joystick the calibration won't work. I start the game, the first thing it does is asking me to calibrate the joystick, but when I'm done it says, "joystick calibration is not correct. Please recalibrate." No matter how many times I try. I did my homework before asking, I spent a long time looking through here and the Net and found that other people had the same problem, and even that it's not DOSBox related but something about the game itself, at least with some joysticks.

So my question is not about the nature of the problem. What I want to know is whether anyone has experienced this same problem with this game, but has sorted it out, and how.

PS I'm not interested in JoyToKey since it doesn't give analog control and I'd rather play with the mouse or keyboard.
