hay this is my first time using dosbox ive downloaded alien incedent but all the setup and configuration files dont open proply and are in a .cfg and .pif does anybody know what program it runs on? im stumped

I'm not sure i understand the problem, but, here's my advice. Download the D-Fend program, you can find the link on the dosbox homepage, basicly it's a prog that helps you with organizing and setting games for dosbox. Or try opening cfg file with notepad/word and editing if it's viewable.

Before you can play the game, you must first configure it with setup.exe. I found choosing the Sound Blaster 16 option worked well with DOSBox. Then, when the game is configured properly, you start it by selecting a file called AI. The game should start and play smoothly from then on.
