I hope this hasn't been answered somewhere already. I have done a search and found some people had the same problem but noone had a solution. I'm playing Settlers 2 Gold edition on a windows 98 machine. I can play the game perfectly but sometimes when I click to read my messages the whole game shuts down. There is another window in the background that flashes up and then closes but I don't have time to see what it says. It seems like the further I am through the game the more likely it is to happen. It's VERY frustrating! Hope someone has an answer.
