Two completely unrelated things:
- I love the daily quiz on the frontpage.
- I just completed 100 pixel art illustrations of (almost) random things (pictured below for your reference).

Well, some of those 100 things were influenced by games. As I love Abandonia's quiz, I created a Facebook album with the 12 things in my pixel art project that were based on games and asked for people to guess the games.

Now my friends are apparently no fun since nobody went to guess (except one guy who knows most and didn't want to spoil the fun ). So I'm unleashing you guys to tear that album apart. No prize unfortunately, just fun (hopefully).

I'm pretty sure you can get all but the cactus. Note that not all are from old games (but the cactus is though ).

It's nice and everything, but I think I'll pass. If it were screenshot clips, then maybe. I love the daily screenshot quiz based on the principle of either knowing or finding something that has already been done.

I kind of initially agreed with _r.u.s.s. until I did a little cactus research. It was easy. Here is what I found:

I know what you're thinking. It doesn't look anything like the cactus in the first post.

Don't be silly. The cactus in the post is this guy's sister, the one who took the picture. Trust me, I know what she looks like.

I can't know any for certain (except the obvious Tetris one), but I can guess a lot of them.

The truck at the very top looks like Optimus Prime, probably from a Transformers game.

The one right next to it is probably from Sim City.

The lasso icon top left is probably from a very, very old game. The aim of the game was to catch cows with a lasso... I have no idea about the name of the game though.

The one right to the right of the lasso is probably Outrun.

The skyscraper from top left is probably SimTower.

The pickaxe is probably Minecraft.

The rails... Railroad Tycoon.

In the middle, the grey head icon is probably related to Xcom (UFO).

Two icons to its right, it is a Batman candy machine. So a Batman game.

Another skyscraper next to the famous cactus... Even more likely to be from or for SimTower.

The pterodactyl paw fossil reminds me of something... Very vague... But wasn't there some kind of Mac the Stoneman or something back in the days?

Obvious Superman and Batman sigles down left...

The harp reminds me of King Quest for some reason.

The roller board thing is from a game I can't remember the name, but I have definitely played it in the past.

The red plane... Red Baron?

That cactus was from a game with a gunfight in it. Some wild west guy, I'm guessing sierra. I've seen it on AB

3rd in 2nd row: Lotus Turbo Challenge?
5th in 2nd row: Hmmm... Home Alone? Reminds me of one of the items there...
7th in 3rd row: Blues Brothers?
2nd from the right in 3rd row: The $ icon looks exactly like the one in Command & Conquer
8th in 5th row is either A-Train, Railroad Tycoon or Transport Tycoon.
5th in 5th row is SkiFree.
Last in 5th row: I't say Civilization.
Last in 6th row: Chaos Overlords
4th from the right in 6th row: Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon.
2nd in 7th row: Blues Brothers.
3rd in 7th row: Gex.
4th from the right in 7th row: SimCity 2000. It has a Launch Arcology in it.
2nd from the right in 7th row: Hm, Custer's Revenge?

Looking at the banner in the first row, I could guess from it that it comes from a Warlord game. Or Lord of the Realm.
