![]() Ok... I NEVER post on forums, as there is already a wealth of information on the boards. Unfortunately, I've got to be the bothersome n00blet this time. I've read the sound FAQ on here, and that wasn't any help. I've searched, both manually AND with the search function, both to no avail. I can get MoO running perfectly in DOS (I'm on winME, yeah I know, I'm getting a new XP comp soon ) with no sound... OR I can get it super jumpy on dosbox, with sound, sometimes. I've already played with all the speed settings, and it just isn't gonna work on dosbox.
So, I'm left with the delema of getting the sound to work using regular old DOS. If someone could tell me their settings, I'd try them out, as I had a similar problem with Master of Magic. Someone posted their settings there, which I found and tried. Everything worked perfectly. No one has posted anything(at least that I found) containing their settings this time, so I'm asking here hopefully. Sorry about the wall of useless text, I'll be watching just in case someone needs to ask me something about the comp. ps. I dled that VDMsound program, and it says...'You must be running as an administrator, to run VDMSound.' Not sure what that means. Thank you for both reading this, and trying to help me. I've been DYING to try this game out for years. |

![]() These two topics should help:
How to configure DOS for gaming Win98 - Memory Another option is to use Abandonia's bootdisk. If I remember, it contains a Sound Blaster emulation program. |
