Thanks anyway. I also found out that my soundcard doesn't work in pure dos either.

Everything need to be loaded up in your autoexec.bat and config.sys files in pure dos to be in resident memory. Else DOS will simply not even know it have to use this, that and what not.

Here is a thread which can help you a lot to understand what is going on in pure DOS boot up.
