it's just a way of getting the anti-aliasing working on your x86 emulator. For 3d graphics games you can usualy knock-up the anti-aliasing in your display properties. Some late 90's games look quite good with x8 anti-aliasing but it would have run impossibly slow on the hardware at the time.
By the way you arnt realy Russian are you? Did you ever see a hobbit computer?
