hmmm...Dosbox.So I download it yesterday.the first game i tried was conquest of the longbow. I du no whats the big idea-the game runs mega slowly although i tried to speed up.

Tom Henrik 17-10-2004 06:51 PM

Hmm... I didn't have any problems.

The game is naturally slow. Maybe you just think it is the program.

I found some games that go slow, too. But as there's no alternative, use what you can! :ok:

Ok, I will tell you the obvious: "Read readme, it helps really"

Remember to use frameskip too. Well and sometimes even that doesn't helps, but I'm lucky guy who still has his old computer with win 98 in next room.

My PC is P800 192 RAM 16MB video LOL!!1 :roflol:

Well that means you can run it under pure DOS (as XP won't work on a computer like that) so you have no need for DOSBox! So consider yourself lucky.

Yamcha 18-10-2004 04:08 PM

Maybe..but I couldn't run a game don't remember her name but i download it here.

My brother used to have a P2 266 and it ran XP flawlessly.

I ran XP on a Pentium 2 400 Mhz HP Vectra with 128 RAM, and it ran perfectly too.
yamcha565656, your computers specs are very under-powered for DosBox. To run DosBox at reasonable speeds, you need at least 1.6 GHZ pentium 4.
This is what i learned at the DosBox website and forums.

Hmm.. I doubt that a bit. How much memory did he have? 1024? :)
