Another question regarding my DOS box. My monitor has two inputs; one for digital one for analog. Since I am using the digital for my 6600GT can I hook the other puter to the analog and use the same monitor for both boxes? Not at the same time obviously. This would save alot of desktop real estate.

As far as I know, the analoge and the digital output on videocards're for output only. This means the card'd have to be plugged into your other comp before that one could use it. Can't make one plug into an input to use the other plug. At least, that's how far my experience in it goes.

No, No, I want to plug in the video output from both cpu's into one monitor. One is using digital now. the old dos box will be plugged into the monitors analog input. So when I get tired of the AMD64 I can turn it off then turn on the dos box and play old stuff without having to disconnect and reconnect the monitor each time. Make sense?

Your screen has two plugs for a comp then?

Some have both DVI and D-SUB plugs... technically, there is nothing against having them plugged in two diffrent machines.

Yeah, It' has both digital and the old analog style inputs. Thanks for the reply. I hoped it would work. Guess I could have just tried it but I was feeling social. Thanks again.

It should work from what I know.
