Some of you may know of it (especially those that check the Programming section regularly), but I've been working on my first website commission for a while. I finally finished it. The contents itself still needs to be added, but that's the owner's task. Made a beautiful admin panel for that (of which I'm especially proud). You can check it out here. For the record, I don't have anything to do with the wigs, just with making the site.

Edit: Again: Link to the site (so it's a bit clearer to find)

Look decent Tiki.
It's not too complex, but it's not too simple, you got a good design going here. Very attractive and it's pretty informative too.
My only complaint would be that there's a lot of white space at the top of the site, otherwise nice.

looks really nice!
looks like they taught you something on that course afterall ;)

It looks OK. But the graphics, mainly the logo (the female head), are a bit rough. 0_o

I would clean up the logo and the header. Make it about 25% of what it is now and make the width of the site 780 pixels

The reason for a smaller logo is: Less loading time, more subtile and there will be more content (where people actually come from) on the screen withouth having to scroll.

The width of the site in 780 pixels in order to make it compatible with 800x600 browsers. Besides that, I don't see a reason why not to do it, especially since there is no content which actually needs the current width.

Further I would keep it all the same. it looks happy :)

Nice work!
I also think the pic should be altered a smiggin. (Rough at the bottom)
Nice colour scheme though... white words are a little ahard to see, maybe some outlining for the top of the word. (tends to disappear into the light yellow)

Once again, good work! :ok:

Pretty. :)

.:EDIT:.
You need a title. You know. <head><title>Page Name Here</title></head>

I don't think Kon Tiki designed it, read the what it says on the page, however I can't really comment on the coding, I guess it's the site admins who appreciate that the most...

@Data: Actually, we had 4 days of PHP, of which 2 were seeing all kinds of plugins and tools. First day, I spent playing Spider Solitaire. Second day, I took my coursebook, went to W3schools and Php.net and started learning it myself. If it were up to what I've been thought in that course, I wouldn't be able to make a connection to an SQL database yet (just like what some of my fellow cursists've been asking me 'bout) What really was helpful, were the SQL classes we had, but that was from a different instructor :D As for the website assignments... we had two of them, and even after explicitely asking for feedback on them, didn't get them. We were told we wouldn't get homework (some of the cursists're moms with kids, so they don't have any time for homework when they're home), but that instructor still gave that, without actually correcting it. Shows exactly how well he's done his job.

@Maikel: I know. I'm a bit embarrassed 'bout that, but it's not my work. I suggested to make it smaller, but got told to keep it as it is. I know it's too big and too wide. It takes 1/4th of my current screen, purely header, plus it really does look too rough. At any rate, it's not my responsibility, and even if it were, I've been told not to do anything 'bout it.

@Bobbin: Been thinking 'bout that. I kinda forgot that  I might make a quick patch for that (been sending one patch after another, as she keeps whining 'bout this or that needing to be added in or changed, even though she initially said it to be different... like the gallery not needing text links, but thumbnails, then the next day it needing text links, not thumbnails) I can fix that with just another patch.

@Gelfo: A what now? :D

@Kearnsy: There shouldn't be any white words in there... Nor yellow
