I am starting this poll because I don't understand what's best for me. I have used all of them and I like using Winamp because of its simplicity and wide range of plugins available. It's the best free tool. Now I have to keep installed Real Player + Winamp in my computer, since WMP is universally in Windows OS.
I have used Jet Audio too, and its really amazing because of its features and video playback capabilities and support for real player formats. But I dont like using it because I have used it more than enough that now I need a change. Anyway, just tell me what you use, i am interested in the response and comments. thanx |
WinAmp, of course, at least under Windows. I don't have any music on my Linux-Laptop, yet, so I didn't really bother about a proper player, yet ;)

xmms for audio
xine for video |
Same as Data on my Debian install, WinAmp in Windows (though I've ended up with Real player and SonicStage installed for various other reasons).

i use BS player on video, that program is great

WinAmp, MusicMatch, Real Player, WMP, QuckTime... in short, I use all of them, to support varius file formats. Most of the time I use WInAMP, but lately I don't listen any music so I haven't used it in a long time.
Otherwise, Eagle Player on Amiga. :ok: |
I use crapTunes for music, and Windows Media Player Classic ( it's an independant version that looks like the olde WMP, 6 or 5 I think and supports most of the imaginable codecs)...
|
VLAN for video most of the time. WMP for audio (don't do that often).
|
I'm using Winamp, WMP, RealOne, QuickTime... there are just too many formats to be read :hairpull:
|
Winamp for music and videos.
Windows Media Player for videos with multiple language tracks, since the old Winamp version I am using has trouble playing them (reads only the primary audio track). |
