Do check old topics before starting a new one. We've had that question several times, most recently in this thread.

Where are you hosted right now Amazoness? And what do you require from your host? That would make it easier to direct you to a proper place that will match you :)

Seems she went for Atspace (I did NOT influence this.. I reccomended freewebs..)
One thing: I doubt she has any HTML skills..
*Whips out programs, again*
here we go.. yet another charter website...

Who needs HTML skills today? Most wysiwyg progs help you there and that's just bad :)

Danny252 16-11-2005 09:02 PM

bah, Thats like freewebs. Those sites do start to look the same after a while..

Wysiwyg editors might be good to lay out the basic template, but usually even that needs manual cleaning afterwards. I suggest using one of the HTML editors with preview function, they work much better.

Finally, a self-coded site, even if robust and not too great in visual terms, always beats a WYSIWYG generated one.

I agree... I started the hard way and learned html from scraps... and got an editor with preview function later on which really helped... but did try Dreamweaver for a while which made updating easier with template use but that was about it... now I'm tampering with phpnuke sites... WAAAAYYYYY out there :)

I myself is gonna learn HTML soon
