Return Fire 2

Ok, yesterday I got a call from my cousin, he asked if I recalled the name of a game we used to play alot. Off course I didnt but I remember the game and I've been trying to hunt it down, without succes though.

The game is an arcade like, top view, "hot seat", war game. Its probebly about as old as Warcraft 2. Each player has a starting location. You can choose to spawn as a tank, a jeep, a plane or a selfproppeled artillery unit and you had a set number of each. I only ever played the demo so there could be more units in the whole game. The map contains roads, walls, turrets and natural obstacles as I recall.

If anyone know the game please let me know. Any other help would be appreciated.

What's the goal of the game?
Is the entire map visible on screen?

I'm not sure what the goal was, my cousin and I pretty much just bombed the crap out of each other. Once your opponent was out of units the game was over I think. I'm pretty sure the whole map was visable and I dont recall any "fog of war".

Earlier today I browsed through a list of games searching for possible titles, "Warfare" sounded like an option and I googled for some pics:

Thats not the game off course, but it certainly looks familiar. Had I not known better I might have thought it was a sequel.

I know what game this is. It's called Return Fire, an excellent game :D

I think it had a sequal too, but I only played the first one.

Edit: I found both games on MobyGames :D
